Role: Pharmacy Assistant (Dispensary)
Banding: Band 3/4
Location: Newport
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Working Pattern: Full-time
Rate: £13 – £17 per hour

About the role:

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is looking seeking dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Assistants to join our dynamic team in Newport. This role is ideal for individuals looking to advance their careers within the NHS, with opportunities for permanent positions and management roles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications. You will provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals. You will maintain accurate records and manage inventory. You will support the pharmacy team in daily operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential:
    • Holds the NVQ Level 2 in pharmaceutical services or equivalent.
    • Prior NHS experience (desirable).
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within the NHS.
    • Strong aseptic experience.
    • Ability to dispense injectable chemotherapy.
  • Desirable:
    • Strong communication and organisational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
