Description

Job Title: Occupational Therapist 
Banding: Band 6
Location: Yateley, Hampshire    
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application  

We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work full-time hours per week for our private client based in Yateley, Hampshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. This is a school based role working with young children.  

What will your responsibilities be?

You will assess and support students with sensory processing difficulties, physical disabilities, and developmental needs, helping them develop independence in daily tasks. Key responsibilities include implementing sensory integration therapy, collaborating with teachers and staff, advising on classroom adaptations, and supporting behaviour management strategies. You will also provide training to school staff and maintain detailed records of student progress.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Be HCPC registered as an Occupational therapist
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Occupational therapy
  • Previous NHS experience within an intermediate care setting
  • The ability to build good rapport with patients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
