Job Title: General Healthcare Assistant

Banding: Band 2-3 (dependent on experience and specific skill sets)

Location: Whipps Cross Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust

Working Hours: Full-time/Part-time

Rate: £ 12.27 – £ 22.81

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, promoting independence.
  • Check vital signs and report any abnormal values or changes to nursing staff.
  • Adhere to professional standards and hospital policies.
  • Document food and fluid intake accurately.
  • Assist nurses and other staff as needed.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe patient bedside environment.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in relevant general settings (within the last 12 to 18 months).
  • Competent in vital signs, NEWS, and escalation procedures.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and Care Certificate (preferred).
